It can replace fluorine rubber rings and other rubber rings. Features of PTFE
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE or F4 for short) is one of the most corrosion-resistant materials in the world today. It is not corroded by known acids, alkalis, salts, and oxidants, even the most powerful aqua regia (a mixture of concentrated sulfuric acid and concentrated nitric acid) is helpless to it, hence the name Plastic King. It can be used normally between -150 and +250°C, which other plastics cannot do. The characteristic of polytetrafluoroethylene is that it is difficult to melt, and its fluidity is very poor, so it cannot be processed by an extruder, and it is generally sintered. PTFE has good wear resistance and self-lubricating properties, and is a high-grade engineering plastic. PTFE is white, has a large specific gravity, and does not burn. It does not melt when heated above 250°C, which is the difference between it and nylon.
Advantages of PTFE
● Very high and low temperature resistance, the working temperature can reach up to 250℃. Even if the temperature drops to -196°C, it can maintain an elongation of 5%;
● Corrosion resistance, strong acid and alkali resistance, various organic solvents;
● High lubricity, which is the one with the lowest friction coefficient among solid materials;
● Non-adhesive, possesses the lowest surface tension among solid materials;
● The property of electric insulator can resist 1500 volt high voltage.Finally, in terms of design, it is recommended that the elasticity of the PTFE sealing ring is small, so when selecting the size specification, it should match the nominal diameter (piston or inner hole).
